Donation made to orphanage in the name of the Speedwagon Foundation -
I am so touched, I had to translate it. Sorry for the whacky translation though. I’m getting rusty.
Gift from an Anonymous Man to Orphan Children in Minami ward, Hamamatsu
On the 13th of December Seimei Dormitory, an orphanage in Shinbashi city of Minami ward, Hamamatsu was visited by a man who claimed to come from Shizuoka branch of Speedwagon Foundation. The Foundation is from Hirohiko Araki’s popular manga “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure”. The man delivered 100,000 yen (around USD 1200) worth of gifts, including 4 children bicycle and other things. He left after giving a letter written with passion to the staffs and saying “I want you to read this message to the children”.
According to the staffs, on the 5th of December there was a call from an anonymous man saying, “I want to give around 100,000 yen worth of what the children want”, and so they told him what the children requested. They say on the 13th, on 4 in the afternoon, a man who looks like in his thirties came riding a wagon car and gave them 4 bicycles, along with a digital camera and a game console for each of the children.
In the letter, there is a written request “for the boys to be a man who will not lie even if he is suffering greatly,” and “for the girls to take care of their ‘heart’ and their ‘body’”.
Because there are 83 children from 2 to 18 years old in the facility, the number of the bicycles is not sufficient for each child. The head of the orphanage, Keiichi Kawamura (59) smiled as he said, “The children thinks of it as an early Christmas present, I am thankful for it. We want to use them with care. The presents were revealed during a Christmas party on the 15th.
